OntarioPeak collects very little data and treats what it does collect with strict care. This policy explains what we gather, how we use it, and what rights you have.
OntarioPeak does not require registration or account creation. We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or financial information for regular use of the platform. The game runs entirely within your browser. Session data (such as your current credit balance or age-gate confirmation) is stored in your browser's localStorage and never transmitted to our servers.
When you use contact forms or send an email to [email protected], we collect the information you provide in that message — typically your name and email address. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list without explicit consent.
Our hosting provider may collect standard server access logs including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. These logs are used for security monitoring and aggregate traffic analysis only. We do not combine them with any personally identifying information.
OntarioPeak uses browser localStorage — not cookies — to store two pieces of information: whether you have confirmed you are 18 or over (to avoid showing the age gate on every visit) and whether you have accepted or declined our cookie notice. These values are stored only on your device and are never transmitted to us. You may clear them at any time through your browser settings.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We do not install tracking pixels or analytics tags by default. If you accept our cookie notice, we may load a lightweight analytics script to understand aggregate traffic patterns (page views per day, most-visited pages). This script does not identify you personally and does not share data with advertising networks.
OntarioPeak uses Google Consent Mode v2 to ensure that any Google-associated tags loaded on this page respect your consent choices before they fire. The default state for all consent categories is denied. No advertising, analytics, or personalisation tags activate unless you explicitly consent.
Information provided via contact forms is used only to respond to the specific enquiry and is deleted within 30 days of resolution. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days and are used only for security incident investigation. We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for commercial purposes.
OntarioPeak does not profile users, build behavioural models, or use personal data to personalise content. The game experience is identical for all visitors.
Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) gives you the right to request access to any personal information we hold about you, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to withdraw consent to processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe we have not handled your personal information appropriately.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect any personal information in our care. Communications between your browser and our server are encrypted via HTTPS. Staff with access to server logs are limited and subject to confidentiality obligations. We do not retain financial information because we never request or accept it.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. When we do, we will update the date at the bottom of this page. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify visitors. Continued use of OntarioPeak after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
